McDonald’s U/14 FESTIVAL North West and Gauteng Finals Set For Klerksdorp

On Saturday, 20th August, young footballers from the North West Province and Gauteng will compete for the top of the log at the McDonald’s U/14 Schools League provincials. The tournament will be held at the Alabama Stadium, Klerksdorp from 8am to 5pm. 

 

Now in its 7th year and a new format, the McDonald’s U/14’s schools league soccer festivals are now structured so that provincial teams travel to a selected host provinces to play their finals. This weekend’s soccer festival will see North West and Gauteng battle it out for their respective spots in the league’s provincial finals.  

 

“We look forward to seeing the young talent from a total of 12 schools compete at Alabama Stadium this weekend. At the end of play, one talented team per province will represent their province at the national finals. We urge community members to bring along comfortable seating, and encourage friends and family to join in on the festivities” said McDonald’s South Africa Corporate Affairs Director, Sechaba Motsieloa.

 

The soccer festival attendees will also enjoy live entertainment from DJ Arch Junior, Ronald McDonald and other fun-filled activities including Jumping Castles, Face-Painting and much more.
