 Laerskool Kuswag in East London will be the venue this weekend for the under-12 Danone Nations Cup Eastern Cape provincial finals, kicking off at 10am. The winners will be going to Gauteng to compete in the national finals happening in Boksburg on 1st July.     Among the schools competing again will be last year’s Guqaza Junior Secondary School, who will be representing OR Tambo. Northern Cape schools are finalising their under-12 soccer teams in preparation for the first round of Danone Nations Cup fixtures starting this week.    Over 3 000 primary schools from all corners of the country are expected to enter the tournament with the Northern Cape being the first province to host their finals on 25th March.   Back in action again this year are the 2016 Northern Cape provincial champions, Van Rensburg Primary School,  runners-up, Beacon Primary School, and 2014 and 2015 provincial champs, Roodepan Primary School.   All three schools have admitted that getting the team ready has not…
In the recent news, Bakerville primary school based at Johannesburg has qualified for the 2nd qualification in the Danone Nations Cup National Finals. An interview was conducted between SASFA and Mr Siya Marawu.   Mr Siya Marawu responded and said everything is fine regarding the preparations. Nancy Shiba Primary School from Witbank, in the Nkangala district, are the 2016 Mpumalanga under-12 Danone Nations Cup provincial soccer champions, having beaten the 2013 national champions, and 2014 and 2015 provincial champions, Daniye Primary School in the final last weekend.  Nancy Shiba will now compete in the National Finals taking place at Reiger Park in Gauteng on June 25th.   Daniye went into the tournament as favourites and won all their league matches, which included beating Nancy Shiba 1 – 0 in the first game of the day.  The teams met again in the final match and Nancy Shiba…
  The KwaZulu-Natal provincial finals of the under-12 Danone nations Cup soccer tournament will be held at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Claremont on Saturday 14th May.   Among the 12 finalists are schools who have been regular participants at provincial level; some who have been playing in the tournament for years without reaching this level before; and a few who are entering the competition for the first time this year.
